" I have a dream..."

This phrase belongs to the fighter against racism in the United States Martin Luther King. He used it speaking about equal rights of all Americans and believing that his dream of just society would come true. To my mind, Obama`s election as a president is a good example that black Americans have followed his call for assertive selfhood, taking part in the ranks of professionals, intellectuals and political leaders. NO to racism, YES to common sense!
What is your attitude to the problem? Do you think Obama will make the United States flourish?

Good question Yana!! But don't forget that there is always a big difference in the freedom "fighter" and idealist: Maarten Luther King, and the practical politician: Barack Obama. They are two people with a shared background but in very different positions. I would be careful to compare them. Both of them are very important for their countries consiousness. I hope that Barack will achief what he has in mind. People expect a lot of him, but let's be gentle and patient to see what he can and will do. I have good faith in him.
Maarten Luther King is more than a legend right now. It's always difficult to imagine what had become of him when he didn't die.
I vote for peacefull cooperation between all people!!!!
